DrivePal is an intuitive web application built to connect learner drivers with qualified instructors in just a few clicks. Whether you're searching for the perfect instructor near you or managing your driving schedule, DrivePal streamlines the entire process into one accessible, user-friendly platform.
The Homepage
The homepage includes cards for navigation as well as a navbar. The main deliverables are easily navigable, including the “submit questionnaire” and “view our instructors” cards. The cards are all locked behind making an account, which was to incentivise user sign up. You can see the logo in a circular image on the top, as well as the green colour palette represented.
Registering as a learner or instructor are available at the top right of the page. This is where roles are separated. The functionality all works as expected, and met the ethos of the project we envisioned in the beginning.
Functionalities
With built-in features like smart instructor matching, location-based search, real-time chat, and secure online payments, DrivePal removes the hassle from booking and attending lessons. Learners can browse reviews, compare instructor profiles, and track upcoming bookings, while instructors can easily manage availability and lesson requests through a dedicated dashboard.
The Goal
Created as part of a university software project, DrivePal demonstrates how technology can improve everyday services and support learners on their journey toward passing with confidence.
The Payment
DrivePal uses Stripe to handle all payments securely and reliably. Learners can book lessons and pay online with confidence, while instructors receive payments directly through the platform. By integrating Stripe’s trusted payment system, DrivePal ensures a smooth and protected transaction process for both sides.
The Reviews
To help learners make informed decisions, DrivePal includes a built-in review system. After each lesson, learners can rate and leave feedback for their instructors. These honest reviews promote transparency, build trust, and help others find the right instructor based on real experiences.
